Pontremoli is the nearest town and is well served by regular trains and a motorway (called autostrada).The nearest airports are Pisa, Parma and Genoa, each an hour or so away. Milan is about 2½ hours away. Pickups from Pontremoli train station can be arranged, in advance. If you are using gps search for Noce, Zeri 54029.

From the A12, between Parma and La Spezia.

Take the Pontremoli exit turning right after the toll booths. Follow signs for Pontremoli and Zeri, eventually reaching a roundabout. Taking the exit for Zeri follow sp37 for 14km. Immediately after the 14km sign you will see a number of signs on your left, including one for Mulino Marghen. Follow this small road about 800 meters down. You will find our parking sign-posted on the right, just before the ancient bridge.

From A12, from the direction of Genoa.

Take the exit Brugnato-Borghetto di Vara in the direction of Brugnato/Borghetto. Following signs for Sesto Godana, and then Zeri/Passo Rastrello. After Passo Rastrello the road descends to Collaretta. Arriving at the small piazza and tower turn left ,continue for a couple of kilometres, passing a church on your left, then Bar Alex on your right and a small restaurant on your left. The road goes around a sharp left hand bend and 100 meters further down (just before you reach the 14km sign) you will see a very sharp turn to the right with signs for Noce, Molino Marghen, and others. Follow this small road as it winds about 800 meters down. You will find our parking sign-posted on the right, just before the ancient bridge.

PLEASE NOTE: IT IS NOT RECOMMENED YOU TRY TO CROSS THE BRIDGE BY CAR AS IT IS NARROW AND STEEP, NOR DO WE RECOMMEND YOU ATTEMPT TO FORD THE RIVER. It is 100 meters to the mill and we will be happy to help you with your luggage.
